DIY Magnetic Makeup Board

When we lived in our first apartment, our master bath never seemed to have enough counter space. As much as my husband tried to establish His and Hers sides my traitorous eyeliners and rebel lipsticks inevitably drifted over the demilitarized zone and firmly into “His” side.

After one too many squabbles, I decided there had to be a better way and a trip to Hobby Lobby and IKEA later, I had myself a self contained makeup display.

This make – up organizer is a PERFECT solution for clearing counter space and allows you to see your ENTIRE make-up collection at a glance!

Materials:

Time: 30 minutes

Iron the Fabric (you don’t want a big ole crease down the center).

Place the metal board face down on the blank side of the fabric and cut the fabric three inches from each side of the metal board.

Glue the long side of the fabric to the edges of the board and pocket fold the corners of the top of the fabric (like wrapping a Christmas gift).

Then glue the fabric in place at the top.

Use a dab of hot glue to secure a disc magnet to your smaller cosmetics, on larger cosmetics like my Anastasia Contour kit I used 4 disc magnets.

Don’t worry the magnets and glue will peel off if you need to travel.

Glue 4 magnets to each pencil holder.

Hang on wall and place the make-up on it and you are done! See how easy that was and look at all the extra counter space!
