I am your typical heavily caffeinated mom of two boys. I have a wonderful husband and a crazy but lovable Husky named Moana ( yes a Husky named “Ocean” because that’s how we roll).  I primarily started this blog because over the years I’ve completed a lot of DIY projects and had far too many friends and family say that they could never do them. My message is simple: YES you can.

I’ve spent a fair amount of time on Pinterest (okay, I probably use it more than google search ) and I’ve learned how to take the ideas and concepts I’ve gathered there and adjust it to my needs and incorporate my own twists. I want to share with you the best ideas, tips, and tricks I’ve learned over the past six years.

I’ve been that mom up til 2 am making truffula tree cake pops while my husband glares at me over melted candy. I’ve been the at home baker who just couldn’t seem to get her royal icing consistency just right. I’ve had the projects that sit in my closet unfinished because I just can’t stand to look at them anymore. My journey has been filled with “nailed it” moments, horrible failures, creative solutions, and ah-ha moments.
